Linda Aguilera’s legal career spans more than a decade of high-stakes trial work in both civilian and military settings. She began as a prosecutor in Texas, where she tried felony and misdemeanor cases across Tarrant, Travis, and Williamson counties before being trusted with some of the most serious and complex matters on the docket. In 2021, she commissioned as a Judge Advocate in the United States Army, embarking on over five years of rapid, wide-ranging legal experience.
During her military career, Linda served in roles spanning Legal Assistance, Special Victim Trial Counsel, Administrative Law, National Security Law, and Command Judge Advocate, advising commanders at all echelons, and serving as the legal point of contact for tens of thousands of service members across Europe and Central America. She now brings that breadth of experience to private practice, representing service members and veterans in courts-martials, administrative separation proceedings, GOMORs, security clearance matters, and more.
Early Life and Education
From Houston to the Courtroom
Linda Aguilera was born and raised in Houston, Texas. A native Spanish speaker and first-generation American, she was the first in her family to graduate from college, the first to become a lawyer, and the first to serve in the United States Army. She graduated magna cum laude from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2015, where she earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for legal writing.
In 2026, she completed her LL.M. in National Security and Cybersecurity Law at the George Washington University Law School, continuing a pattern of never stopping and never settling. Her humble roots don’t just inform who she is; they shape how she practices. Every client gets the dedication she would want someone to show her own family.
Military Career
From the Courtroom
to the Combat Zone
Linda commissioned as a Judge Advocate in 2021, arriving in Kaiserslautern, Germany, where she immediately put her trial experience to work, advising over 130 service members on matters ranging from landlord disputes to adverse administrative actions, and achieving unprecedented outcomes for soldiers whose military careers were on the line. She then went on to prosecute the most serious UCMJ offenses as a Special Victim Trial Counsel. As a Regional Magistrate and Administrative Law Attorney, she presided over confinement hearings and reviewed search and seizure warrants, oversaw and guided major investigations, and advised the highest-ranking general officer on ethics matters.
In 2024, Linda deployed to Honduras as the sole legal advisor to the Joint Task Force-Bravo Brigade Commander. In that role, she counseled 8 commanders and advised over 1300 service members on more than 300 legal matters. She supported a real-world Department of State mission, for which she was awarded the Joint Service Achievement Medal. The legal work she provided during her tenure contributed to Joint Task Force-Bravo receiving two Joint Meritorious Unit Awards.

From her very first assignment as a Legal Assistance Attorney in Germany, she watched service members navigate divorces from across the ocean, fight back against unjust administrative actions, and carry the weight of military life largely on their own.
She saw what it meant to have no one in your corner, and she saw what it meant when someone was. That experience never left her. Now that she has transitioned out of uniform, Linda brings that mission with her into private practice. She knows how the government builds its cases. She knows where the pressure points are, how commanders think, and how military institutions operate from the inside. She uses every bit of that knowledge to fight for the people she represents.

She holds an LL.M. in National Security and Cybersecurity Law from the George Washington University Law School and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Thurgood Marshall School of Law where she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for outstanding legal writing.
During her military career, she was recognized as the top-ranked legal advisor among 25 peers and ranked second among 22 Army captains in 2025 for outstanding performance and leadership. Her military awards include the Army Commendation Medal (two), Army Achievement Medal, Joint Army Commendation Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award (two), and Joint Service Achievement Medal. In Honduras, she partnered with Civil Affairs teams on community initiatives, organizing orphanage refurbishments and facilitating English practice for local students, reflecting a commitment to service that has never been limited to what her job description required.
