Guiding Philosophy and Principles

Bringing the Mission From
Uniform to Private Practice

For Linda, every case is personal. Her relationship with the law didn’t begin in a law school classroom. It began in childhood, watching the legal system touch her family and the families around her. Those early experiences planted something that has never left her: a belief that the law should serve and empower people, not be weaponized against them.

She brings that belief into every representation. Her style is fierce but measured when that approach is more effective. She does not chase headlines or ego but outcomes, prioritizing her clients’ interests. She brings the same energy to a GOMOR rebuttal as she does to a contested court-martial, because she understands that to her client, the stakes feel equally high in both.

Distinguished Service,
On and Off Duty

Linda is licensed to practice law in Texas and Washington State. She holds an LL.M. in National Security and Cybersecurity Law from the George Washington University Law School and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Thurgood Marshall School of Law where she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for outstanding legal writing.

During her military career, she was recognized as the top-ranked legal advisor among 25 peers and ranked second among 22 Army captains in 2025 for outstanding performance and leadership. Her military awards include the Army Commendation Medal (two), Army Achievement Medal, Joint Army Commendation Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award (two), and Joint Service Achievement Medal. In Honduras, she partnered with Civil Affairs teams on community initiatives, organizing orphanage refurbishments and facilitating English practice for local students, reflecting a commitment to service that has never been limited to what her job description required.

Client Testimonials

  • “Respectfully, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support and assistance in this matter. Your professionalism, understanding, and dedication have made a significant impact on my situation, and I truly appreciate everything you have done on my behalf.” SSG C.S. (U.S. Army retired)
  • “Additionally, I truly want to thank you for all of your assistance in this matter. You are truly a professional. I can tell from our interactions that you truly care about your career and clients. You take the time to get a better understanding so you can give the best advice possible and provide exceptional representation. You work to standard and not to time, and it’s amazing. I have not had very good experiences with legal professionals. You have turned all of that around and shown me how legal professionals can and should be.” CPT K
  • “Having handled literally hundreds of GOMORs, I have learned that what the Soldier presents in their rebuttal matters can tip the scales insofar as where the GOMOR is filed. I have drafted, rebutted, and advised on hundreds of GOMORs and in my view, Linda Aguilera did an outstanding job advising on this rebuttal and presenting the information concisely and effectively. The rebuttal lays out the facts clearly, and although her client was an E-5 with less time in the U.S. Army than other Soldiers facing misconduct resolution, Linda Aguilera presented information on the Soldier’s background as well as his duties to demonstrate in a humble way that he is a “good soldier.” (filing determination outcome was in favor of the soldier. Praise came to the supervisor from COL A.M. outside of her organization)
